A few years ago I attended a Baby Expo in New York City and was introduced to
Little Pim.
Little Pim is an early language program for children ages 0-6. They offer DVDs, Cd's, books, apps, and more in a variety of foreign languages. I was lucky enough to review one of their Spanish DVDs, which you could check out at,
Little Pim DVD Review.
Recently, I was sent Little Pim Colors book in Spanish and French, along with a Spanish Cd. As you know our two year old loves reading and it is part of our daily routine. I love
Little Pim Colors because it not only teaches colors in three languages, but is fun and interactive. The book includes flaps and tabs on each page that help her develop fine motor skills. Plus, it is a board book, which makes it easy for her to turn each page all by herself! It's amazing to watch her picking up or sliding each flap to see which surprise object is underneath.
Little Pim Colors reviews everyday items like grapes and bananas, as well as, introduces them to things they might not see daily, like fire trucks and frogs. Relating each item to a color is something we do daily. We introduce her to new colors by pointing to things and telling her what color they are or review colors by asking her to pick what color something is, so why not practice it in Spanish and French, too?
The best part is that we are learning right along with her.
Spanish Bop is another great product for us to rock to! It offers 15 different songs to sing along with, at home or in the car. There are many songs on the radio that are inappropriate for children, so I keep a variety of Cds for us to listen to while commuting. Spanish Bop is upbeat and entertains her while I drive. I don't have to worry about what song might come on because it is specifically geared to her age group.
The Cd includes the lyrics to each song in Spanish and English. The songs teach about food, animals, body parts, and even a good morning and good night song. Exposure to different languages at a young age is very important. I love Little Pim products because they offer a way to teach language to all different types of learners. Their products are visual, audio, and hands on. Check out
Little Pim to see for yourself.
Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. I did receive Little Pim products for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
We like how Little Pim engages all the children's learning modalities. They love the CD!
